Is there a limit to the body of the message that can be posted using the

dnewsweb interface?
   Yes.

I am refering specifically to the body of the message and NOT the
attachment.

I'm getting messages cut off at about 65000 bytes when using Internet
Explorer (pasting a large yEnc mesage in the textarea field).

I would like to know if this is a dnewsweb limitation or not.
   Yes it is.

If this is a dnewsweb imposed limitation is there a setting by which this

limit can be modified? Is there any workaround?
No, it's really a browser limit as I recall, no there is no work around,

other than using attachments for large files.

Chris, thanks for your answer.

I'm pretty sure it's not a browser limitation, though. I've inspected the HTTP traffic, and the HTTP request that IE sends contains all the data (over 65000 bytes), but the message still gets cut off.

There are no error messages or warnings of any kind.

Can you please look into this a bit further?

If it helps at all, dnewsweb is hosted on IIS 5.

Ahh, I suspect (but could be wrong) this was a limit in an early browser, I seem to recall one couldn't even type into the form past 64K, it was probably fixed in the browser many years ago, anyway, you were right there was a
limit in dnewsweb, here is a new binary
