Runit is studly. I personally replaced systemd with runit on a systemd
encumbered Manjaro, and on Centos :-) Runit works as advertised.

Most people (not I, but most people) would use either runit or
daemontools, but not both. Runit is like a daemontools superset with
PID1 functionality and orderly shutdown/reboot.

Yeah, just put daemontools or daemontools-encore in your /etc/initd,
and slowly switch management of your daemons from sysvinit to
daemontools.
