I (I'm the rant author, if anyone remembers) would be completely 
happy with these two non-auto mount commands.  No need for a 
long-running daemon.  If you remember the rant, most of the automount 
methods I've been treated to so far have done it wrong.  I'd welcome 
something more explicit.
