According to http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/docs/dnsmasq-man.html
both opt and option are valid?
The code in option.c thinks differently though ;-)

I can't find anywhere in the man page which says that "opt:" is valid.
What have I missed?

Ah sorry, I misinterpreted this:
--dhcp-option=[<network-id>,[<network-id>,]][encap:<opt>,][vendor:[<vendor-class>],][<opt>|option:<opt-name>],[<value>[,<value>]]

and thought I saw something like:
[opt|option:<opt-name>]

(those config lines sure are painful for the eyes/brain)

Thanks for the offer but I did this last night: it's a simple change.

Code is available at

http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/test-releases/dnsmasq-2.50test7.tar.gz

Thanks!
I'll try this Thursday/Friday and report back.
