Hi, As per man dnsmasq:
The arguments to the process are "add", "old" or "del", the MAC
address of the host, the IP address, and the hostname, if known.
This seems to mean that the short hostname is passed, not the fully
qualified hostname. It's no problem, as DNSMASQ_DOMAIN is present in
the environment, but please make it explicit in the documentation.
