Thanks. Apparently the option doesn't reveal much:
1062280543 available DHCP range: 172.16.81.1 -- 172.16.81.254
1062280543 tags: net1, bootp, eth0
cannot send DHCP/BOOTP option 43: no space left in packet
So the tag appears to be set, and option 43 should not be sent.
