This is false (and Ted Lemon was correct in describing QNAME
minimisation). Here, with a recent Unbound, when I ping foo.alt, I see only:

If, afterwards, I ping bar.alt, there is no outgoing DNS request (this
is because of "NXDOMAIN cut").
