Similarly, there’s nothing stopping you from putting PTR records in the 
“forward” DNS - my dodgy VM provisioning scripts stuff EUI48 <-> hostname maps 
in the DNS (the vm’s MAC address is its most persistent externally visible 
identifier).

08-00-27-b6-01-b4.dev.dns.cam.ac.uk. 3 IN PTR   vm0.dev.dns.cam.ac.uk.
vm0.dev.dns.cam.ac.uk.  3       IN      EUI48   08-00-27-b6-01-b4
