I think Mark's point with respect to that is that the presence or
absence of a delegation is unimportant in this context so long as
clients are still sending queries.
Given the half-life of anything, regardless of how broken, on the
Internet (how many BIND 4.8 servers are still out there?), clients
will be sending queries until Paul Vixie becomes president of ICANN
at least.
right. but that didn't matter to ICANN, IANA, or the v6 zelots.
they pulled the delegation anyway.
