Hmm, deleting whole extension and installing the plugin back seems sorted the problem, now. Running 2.1.2 with no issues. Weird. Sorry for confusion.

You should find it in your home directory: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/XXXXXXXXXX/extensions/[email protected] where XXXXXXXXXX stands for the profile identifier. Quit the browser by right-click on the dock icon. Then delete the [email protected] extension directory with all its content. Then start Firefox again. Try then installing the new extension.
