Thanks for the report Zash. I just started looking into this and it seems that this is actually an error with libevolution.
See this bug report on launchpad for more info: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-sharp/+bug/287332 The error they are reporting is exactly the same one that Do reports when I dug deeper into the plugin. I'll see what we can do about this, but unless Ubuntu pushes a fix for evolution-sharp or we publish our own version of evolution-sharp in our intrepid PPA there's not much I can do.
