You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I have a file lying on my desktop with the name:

[beagle] Diff of \trunk\beagle\search\Beagle.Search\GroupView.cs.desktop

Note that no matter how I rename it with Nautilus, the actual filename
doesn't change, because it is a desktop file. When I launch GNOME Do, it
spits out an error message:

Do.Universe.Linux.ApplicationItemSource "Applications" encountered an
error in UpdateItems: Error stating file
'/home/hunzikea/Desktop/GroupView.cs.desktop': No such file or
directory.

Moving the file to another folder helps.
