Just a thought.... Should we really be forcing the user to assign aliases for all the Pidgin contacts he wants to pull up? (I have hundreds)
Also, this may be a broader issue. It sounds like a very good idea to have some flexibility in accessing items. If an item has multiple legitimate ways of being accessed, it would be great if Do allows for that access to happen. Maybe in a future architectural revision, something like this could be incorporated. I can see some exciting use cases for this: If I have some images indexed, wouldn't it be great to pull up some images by their, say, size (1440x900, for eg.), or any other appropriate attribute. Maybe I'm getting a lil' ahead of myself, but Indexing Items by Multiple Strings/Attributes sounds like it could increase Do's usefulness quite a bit. I think I'll add this as a Wishlist. -- GMail (Google Contacts) and Pidgin Plugins don't index contacts by Username/Email Address https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337000 You received this bug notification because you are a member of GNOME Do Plugins Team, which is subscribed to GNOME Do Plugins. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~do-plugins Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~do-plugins More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
