                  and the US/European Response

Politalk, Europe 2020, and the TransAtlantic Information Exchange
Network have partnered to facilitate a structured dialogue between
residents of the US and European Community during this time of
international crisis. Citizens, journalists, and academics will
discuss the causes, implications, and responses to the horrific
attacks of Sept 11th.

Already, countries throughout the European Union have partnered with
the United States in investigating the perpetrators of the attack.
Presumably, European nations may also take part in any direct
military response. This forum is for residents of both the US and
Europe (and beyond) to exchange information and discuss/debate
ongoing and soon to come responses to the Terrorist Attacks. We will
also address international leadership issues and the how these events
were effected by or will effect the process of globalization.

Discussion will be limited to 10-12 posts per day.

Possible Questions For Our Discussion:

    1) How will these attacks and the aftermath
       affect US leadership abroad?
    2) What is the role of the EU in responding
       to the attacks?
    3) How will this kind of terrorism affect
       the process of globalization?
    4) What can the US learn from Europe in terms
       of security precautions?
    5) Was this an attack on the US or on the West
       in general?
    6) Does Europe share responsibility for the
anger and hatred expressed by these attacks?
    7) Is this War or a Police Action?
    8) Are additional international tools necessary
to combat this kind of International Terrorism?
    9) What can we expect from terrorists in the future?
