The mission of the Democracy Online Project, http://www.democracyonline.org, is to promote the development of U.S. online politics in a manner which upholds democratic values. The Project Director will help move the project toward becoming a Center for the study of democracy online. To that end, the Director will oversee and manage all functions related to the development, maintenance, and growth of the Democracy Online Project. S/he will be responsible for managing the internal process within the University that leads to the creation of a center; directing the fund- raising efforts of the project; communicating with foundations and grant giving organizations; and supervision of project research and staff. Candidates should have a proven track record of strategic planning, financial >management, and fund raising. In addition, s/he should possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
