Salam, So the letter A trial was relatively successful. I uploaded the whole technical dictionary to the wiki. You can invite friends, sons, parents, and people on other sites! enjoy!
It will be successful if everyone contributes with their part. Especially admin stuff. I wanna stress the importance of this work. Enough of the conflicts of translations! besides, things have never been easier! Some specific suggested tasks: Maysara: Can you maintain lexicons? organising them, creating them, and linking individual words will be so good, there are some examples. I will assist in this by creating more (inchallah). Saad: this task is important for you. Can you come up with weekly "terms of the week"? about 20 or 30, every week, so people don't get lost with so many words. Please let me know if you wanna do this, and I'll tell you how :) YOU'RE THE BEST AT THIS! Chahibi: This is very specific for you, and I think you're good at it. Can you make templates for the most recognised terms? e.g: Terms under the "file menu", those under the "edit menu"... etc Please collect them, and have the term pages linked. --Can you also invite those interested in Arabic (there are a lot of them) - there are already some interested in this. Ossama Khayat: Man, I would like to see you leading this. You're the best at translating work, and your experience is very important to give historical context. Head over there, read the pages and kick it! Hamed: publicity, marketing and PR. use your networking and imagination! let as many people as possible know about this . Khaled Hosny: Your return couldn't soon enough man. We miss you :) You're the QA specialist, as always. Can you go through the words and mark those need revision? Please create a new page, you can probably work with Saad to suggest the weekly terms. Mohammed Magdy: Come over here man! don't you get drowned in that other wiki ;) Others are of course welcome! you know where to go: http://wiki.arabeyes.org Come on guys, make this a team! We've got some holidays coming up, make the most of it! Djihed PS. Just suggestions, I'm not making definite orders! -- Work on Arabic Gnome Translation http://wiki.arabeyes.org/Gnome Blog: http://djihed.com
