Hello, Hope this email finds you well. My name is Chulai and I'm one of the GoldenDict developers. I contact you because you've contributed in the past to the program with your Arabic translation. Well, the good news is that after around 3 years of hard work from all the GoldenDict community we are finally releasing version 1.5. We want to ask your once again for your help. Of course you don't have any obligation whatsoever. We just think it would be beneficial for the project and users to have the program fully translated to your language. You can find the translation file in its current state here: https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/raw/1.5-dev/locale/ar_SA.ts You can do the translation with Qt Linguist. To download a copy go here: http://qt-apps.org/content/show.php/Qt+Linguist+Download?content=89360 I suppose you have used this program before to do the translation but, in any case, you can find a comprehensive manual at http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/linguist-translators.html To "release" your *.ts file go to File -> Release menu from within the Linguist program; it will create the appropriate *.qm file which you could copy to GoldenDict's locale directory and test it. To get the latest GoldenDict version to test your translation, unpack the archive GoldenDict-1.5.0-RC-124-gb050b74 at http://goldendict.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2091&start=180#p10535 on top of the latest Early Access Build GoldenDict 1.5.0-RC-98-g46bbe67 at https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/wiki/Early-Access-Builds-for-Windows When you finish the translation you can either post the updated *.ts file to the forum or do a pull request as explained in the following forum topic: http://goldendict.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2063#p8821 If you need any help with the procedure to get the translation done please let me know. You can also ask for help in the forum. Kind Regards, Chulai _______________________________________________ Doc mailing list [email protected] http://lists.arabeyes.org/mailman/listinfo/doc
