FYI, since I have another Linux station and an old NeXT box (which runs
a BSD-type UNIX) on my home network, I needed to get Network Information
Services (NIS, also known as 'yp') running on my e-smith server to give
out user and group info to those other two boxes. With some help and
pointers from the developers here (especially Gordon, Peter and Charlie),
I wrote up a document which is now online at:

  http://www.e-smith.org/docs/howto/nis-howto.html

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Regards,
Dan
