Just as an FYI, this morning I needed (well, "wanted" :-) to install the CVS version control system on my e-smith server and gateway so that I could access the CVS repository I had on my home network from outside (all via ssh). I successfully installed it and have now been using it today. I wrote up most of it into a HOWTO, which I'll be working on at some point in the next days and posting. So it's in the works...
