FYI, I've spoken several times about the work I've been doing with
transitioning to DocBook XML (from DocBook SGML). I'm pleased to pass
along that I've had some excellent results processing DocBook XML into
HTML on a Linux system using 'libxslt' from http://www.xmlsoft.org/XSLT/

Essentially, you need two RPMs (libxslt and libxml2) and then you wind
up with a command called 'xsltproc' that allows you to process a file.
You also need to download the latest DocBook XSL stylesheets from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=21935 (under
'docbook-xsl'). I am using version 1.40 (the latest).

It works great for creating HTML pages. I haven't gotten to PDF files yet
(it needs to work with another tool to do so), but for online docs it
works great.

If anyone wants me to post more information, I'll be glad to do so.

Regards,
Dan
