After longer than I'm actually willing to admit, I've finally updated the http://docbook.org/ website. It may still be imperfect but at least:
1. It identifies the most recent 4.5 and 5.0 schemas correctly.
2. It includes pointers to the O'Reilly Media/XML Press editions of the 5.0 book
3. The online book has been updated to include the copy edits provided
by O'Reilly & XML Press.
For better or worse, the online book documents V5.0+, that is, 5.0
plus some things that will be part of 5.1.
