hello

first of all, the following preview urls are very crude (time limits), so please have that in mind when "reviewing" them.

the first 3 urls are basically identical:

http://www.bullitt.suite.dk/new_logo_top/download/binaries.html
http://www.bullitt.suite.dk/new_logo_top/download/stable.html
http://www.bullitt.suite.dk/new_logo_top/download/bundles.html

they incorerate the new logo and a camel (so far) on the
right side. also moved the breadcrumb up in that area.
it would be nice if you can check these new specific changes
on different browsers/systems and do the usual
-2,-1,0,+1,+2.

so far, on macintosh, it looks "perfect" in the sense that
only the graphics needs to be
cleaned and the html twisted a little

Assuming that we talk only about the top of the page, this is one linux:

Mozilla9.9 +2
Konqueror +0
Opera5 +2
NS4 +2

in Konqueror the solid line and the camel image end up in the middle of the page.

another thing is the search block.
please take a look at:

i have put the search there for various reasons - taking everything into consideration(*) i prefer to have it there. what do you think?

* we free space at the top of the content area so we only have the download widgets and prev|up|next widgets there => more easy on the eyes * we dont have to have the same look & feel as the other widgets, so we can easily use a submit button without disturbing the design * we bring focus to the search (maybe we can even remove it from the menu this way?) * in the left area we can more easily expand the advanced search with more input fields if we wish

+-0 on this change.

I think that when the search widget is inside the content, it makes it clear that it searches the immediate content without any need for radio buttons, etc. When you put it on the left side, you take it out of context and then you must have this search this/site choice. Also it creates an empty space in the navbar, but may be it's because I'm used to have 3 widgets there and not two.

My approach was simple, the search searches 'this' (what you see and beneath) if you want a more complex search with all the twists you go to a dedicated search page.

The current and the newly suggested design both have their benefits and drawbacks, I'm fine with both, so let's see what others like better, assuming that the existing design will be improved with a search image button of identical design and the other buttons.
