That's cool than, I guess I need a break...

Whichever way you prefer. I was just saying that most search engine that
I've seen put prev on the left side. To solve the jumping problem just
always keep 1 in the list. These are just suggestions, what we have now is ok to me.


1 (and the last page) are always on the list.  This is adjustable in the
config file if the need to be removed (some don't like the first and last
page so I added that to the config some months back).
