The problem that worries me with the outcome of "What's modperl" is that we tie all this intro to mod_perl 1.x and I'm not sure what we will do when 2.0 comes. The worry is that we put 1.x stuff into the main space, rather docs/1.0/. I suggest to somehow prefix it with 1.0 and in the future we will add a similar intro for 2.0 and after 2.0 is out for a while we switch to 2.0 and give a link to 1.0.
sure we can do this when the time comes, but then changing linking is a bad idea, so I'd rather prepare this ahead. Even if we don't write any of 2.0 now.
So later we will have
What's mod_perl <a ...>1.0</a> <a ...>2.0</a>
or something like that.
e.g. when 2.0 goes mainstream I plan to switch the order of 1.0 and 2.0 in /docs/config.cfg. putting the hot stuff on top.
