Yes. But the deadline's not over yet :) Maybe posting on use Perl; would give some more exposure? Furthermore, I have seen some posts by Leon Brocard about how progammers can't design in regard to the logos that were posted: maybe we could approach him and ask if he's up to the task? :-)
Sure, that's the way to go, personal approach. I've asked at #axkit-dahut and there is some interest to help. Hope you will receive some banners from there.
People tell me that the .gif requirement was BS, because everybody does flash these days. So we live in the past. go figure.
