Bug #: 52112
Summary: mod_expires alternative interval syntax definition
does not conform to the doc standard
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.3.14-beta
Platform: PC
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
The alternative interval syntax definition (at, for example,
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.3/mod/mod_expires.html) uses curly braces and an
asterisk, but the meaning of those characters is not explained. (For example,
does asterisk mean "zero or more"? How is it different from square brackets
combined with an ellipsis?)
The meaning of those characters should be explained either in the mod_expires
doc or at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.3/mod/directive-dict.html#Syntax, or
else the definition of the alternative interval syntax should be changed to
conform to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.3/mod/directive-dict.html#Syntax.
