Denis S. Valdenaire <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|INVALID |--- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED --- Comment #4 from Denis S. Valdenaire <[email protected]> --- Hi, I think it's confusing because commented lines are said to be IGNORED. If the \ at the end is INTERPRETED, this is not the same thing as IGNORED. Not only I think it's confusing, but it really confuses my team so that we ended searching the cause of this strange behavior and lost something like an hour. Like I said, the syntax highlighting of vim does not show the fact the second line is a comment (Yes, I should open a bug somewhere for this). I don't think the code should be modified, but a clear comment about this in the documentation would be fine, like "Warning : commented lines are ignored (they have no effect on the behavior of Apache) BUT they ARE interpreted, so an \ at the end of a comment makes the following line a comment too." IMO, the configuration should be easy and unambiguous as possible. Thanks for your attention, Best regards, Denis S.
