Comment:

 The problem here is that the params passed to PDO don't do any type
 conversion. When you set values on a Doctrine_Record, they are prepared
 before being sent to the db to make sure they are the correct value when
 being put in the db, right? So what happens here is people expect the same
 with Doctrine_Query and that is not the case. What are your thoughts?
