Note: for whatever reasons, I am unable to add an attachment at the
moment. I was trying to include a .png screenshot showing kangaroo on
the subscriber list of a wiki page.

Yes, you seem to be on the subscriber list for wiki pages.
You can check for yourself by going to the info page and then selecting "Show 
General Pages Infos".
As far as I know, you are the only one that can add yourself (although I think 
the subscriber list does copy if one uses an existing page as a starting point 
for some new page).
Anyway, this is not an ubuntu-docs issue and I will be setting this bug report 
to invalid.
You will have to delete your name yourself or perhaps get Canonical to do it 
globally. I do not know if wiki admins have such powers, but will ask on IRC.
