to be done : ttf-indic-fonts and all subpackages need to be replaced with fonts-indic and subpackages . For Malayalam : fonts-smc need to be used instead of ttf-malayalam- fonts Packages are already in debian upstream . I request ubuntu maintainers to update the fonts to latest versions and consider following the debian package naming changes for fonts.
