Hi :) Stuart has created a great page to help with Accessibility issues which seems to be a recurring nightmare for many people on the accessibility mailing list.
Could we incorporate his current advice and his Faq into a future version of the "Getting Started" guide? Is there already something there that could be expanded? Could there be a link to his Faq (or something) from around the same place as the advice to Mac users in all books? Regards from Tom :) >________________________________ > From: V Stuart Foote <vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu> >To: David Goldfield <dgold...@asb.org>; accessibil...@global.libreoffice.org >Sent: Friday, 5 October 2012, 20:10 >Subject: RE: [libreoffice-accessibility] Latest Libo Won't Play Nice with my >JRE > >David, > >Load order is important as you have a lot of moving part with JRE, JAB, >NVDA and LibreOffice. > >I have posted up the FAQ Wiki >https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq/Java, others are welcome to >refine and expand those details. > >But my suggestion for you now is to uninstall LibreOffice, NVDA, Java >Access Bridge and your Java Runtime Environment in that order. >Unfortunately without NVDA folks will probably need some sighted >assistance to do this correctly. > > >--Java JRE-- > >You probably want to limit system to just a 32-bit JRE.
