Unfortunately right now there's no feature in dom4j to do this yet. If anyone fancies tackling this we'd be very grateful - maybe using Sun's MSV library to parse the various schemas for you (DTDs, XML Schemas and Relax NG).   Until then either Sun's XMLGenerator or I think IBM had something like this once on its Alphaworks site...
