v 1.6.1; WinXP

Input looks like:

<TERM CATEGORY="NN" FREQ="1" STATUS="Approved" DomSpec="1.94">employee ’s
new bonus pool worksheet</TERM>

Output looks like:

<TERM CATEGORY="NN" FREQ="1" STATUS="Approved" DomSpec="0.0"
changed="true">employee ’s new bonus pool worksheet</TERM>

And similarly for "-" and other escape-worthy characters.

The docs say that UTF-8 encoding is the default, and indeed whne I set that
encoding explicitly, no change (i.e., same error).

Is there a way to get dom4j to do this correctly?

thanks,
Paul
