Quoting Fagyal Csongor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Yup, I just saw this in an old yahoo account that I check about
once a week. Get a domain name for $4.98/yr. I quickly skimmed over
the basic information but am going to go back and look at it again.
I'm still expecting to find something in the fine print that will
clarify this a bit. The fineprint says:

1 Discount offer is open to new customers that purchase Domains.
Waived setup fee Offer is open to new Merchant Solutions, Web Hosting
and Business Mail customers only. Offer expires June 30, 2005 at 11:59
PM PST. Customers are limited to one Offer per customer for customer's
own purchase only and is non-transferable, and may not be combined
with other offers and discounts, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
Other terms and conditions apply; see the Yahoo! Small Business Terms
of Service when you sign up.

Looks like a loss-leader.

Thanks Fagyal, that is what I was looking for and didn't find. Just what Elliot said but even more restrictive than I would have expected. That makes it far less attractive.

Thanks again,

ed
