VeriSign sold off Network Solutions about 18 months ago (They still
maintain some limited ownership ~10%). (see http://www.infoworld.com/
article/03/10/16/HNverisignsells_1.html)
They had agreed to do so in order to satisfy certain ICANN
requirements. So yes NetSol is a pure competitor but Verisign is now
a Vendor/Customer ;-)
