Hi Benno, If you and the previous registrar are both with Tucows then you should be ok - unless of course his previous registrar never gave him his password (which is criminal IMHO).
https://rr-n1-tor.opensrs.net/manage/ He can log in through there and change the IPS tag (in the case of a .uk transfer) or (in the case of a com etc.) change his contact email to one he can receive and then you initiate the transfer your end with him approving. We have the CCS running on our site so in cases like this we can even get them to use our facilities - that was one of the major benefits of the Tucows set up. He wants to transfer this domain to us (also Tucows reseller) since the original registrar is broke (bankrupt?). They won't answer transfer mails or any calls. Is there a way for us to obtain this domain so it can work again? He allready has missed out on e-mails since August 3rd. And waiting for grace period and redemption time is really a long time. I hope you guys now of a way. -- With kind regards, Benno Goedhart Internet Unie Services B.V. _______________________________________________ domains-gen mailing list [email protected] http://discuss.tucows.com/mailman/listinfo/domains-gen -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.
