Part of the experiment is to work out a system where our communications become part of an interconnected system. I see more day-to-day communications like email and mailing list/newsgroup discussions as jumping-ff points for articles on our blogs, which in turn will turn into starter articles for the wiki, which will in turn feed our documentation. I hope to engineer this system as a way to capture, distill and disseminate knowledge about our platform. I'm also hashing out some ideas to help keep this system manageable so that people can find the information they need. This is going to be a problem of strategy rather technology, and it'll probably require some actual trial-and-error testing. > I've also added a question to > http://hacking.developers.tucows.com:4080/index.php?n=Main.CCS in > /italics/. Do you see the wiki as a place where Q&A lists and feature > requests could be tracked? Yes! They wouldn't be considered "official" lists, but as the company's developer relations guy, it would be my responsibility to: - Make sure that product management and other relevant parties were informed of these lists - Pass any information about features from those lists that will get added (and provide dates for these) or got rejected (and provide reasons why) - Get the questions answered, and if appropriate, get them turned into their own wiki entries or into the official documentation -- Joey -- _________________________________________________ Joey deVilla - Tucows, Inc. - [EMAIL PROTECTED] TC/DC (Technical Community Development Coordinator) "Nerdy Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" _______________________________________________ domains-gen mailing list [email protected] http://discuss.tucows.com/mailman/listinfo/domains-gen
