I initiated a transfer of a bunch of domains from a non-Tucows registrar (Register.com if it matters) to my own Tucows account. The .com domain came over with the new contact information (what I keyed into the transfer request). The .org domain came over with the original contact information intact (i.e. the old owner). This was quite a surprise to me, perhaps because I have never transferred a .org domain before.
My question is: is this a limitation of the .ord TLD or is there something wrong in the Tucows code? It wasn't a problem to go back and force the contact information to be correct once the transfer completed, but it means I have to pay attention to this in the future...
