Hi Jo, The domain locking still applies post-expiry, so the domain owner will need to unlock the domain with their current reseller. They can fax in the Adminchange.com form after expiry as well.
Once the domain is unlocked and the admin contact valid again, you can do a reseller to reseller transfer. It completes the same day the admin contact approves it, and no auth-code is required.
