Peter you said it all!
I'm a little late on posting this because, I was a little brain dead
yesterday from Thurs. nights Rockin.
We had an amazing time!
The lady sitting next to us had traveled from San Diego (a good 3 to 4 or
more hr. in traffic) just to see the Doobie Brothers. I talked to her about
the fan club, so hopefully she will be joining us soon. Her name is Kim.
The band kicked some Hollywood ass Thursday night as Peter was saying. When
you see the Doobie Bros. you see the good time rock & roll chemistry is still
there. These guys are still having fun and you've got to love that.
Some of the crowd was a bit stiff but, like Peter was saying...that's
Hollywood. The people next to us showed up late and tried so hard NOT to
smile but, I think they finally loosened up.
The poor lady in front of me kept getting hit by my hands from clapping...no
sense of humor. If she would have been rockin like we were and stood up she
probably wouldn't have cared.
I had the honor of meeting Pete Dubin's kids Tia and Bret. They looked like
they had a great time...what good kids they are. I think they might have out
rocked their dad, lol.
It was great to see Pete, Dan, Shad and also met Bob Franco and Neal Strum
who works with Shad.
Great seeing you guys!
On the way into the Amphitheater someone saw my fan club t-shirt. He asked
me if I was a member and said his name was Adam. I'm sure some of you know
who I'm talking about. He said he was a member.
On the way out of the Amp. Rick and I had misplaced the truck. We walked
out the complete opposite end of the place, which mixed us up big time. We
ended up on the backlot of Universal Studios. Well, after about 30 min of
looking, we finally found it...Phew!
Anyway, it was another unforgettable night seeing the Doobie Brothers again.
Thanks to ALL the guys in the band you were excellent! Thanks Jeff "Skunk"
Baxter for surprising us the way you did!
Excellent Show!!
