Heard the news when I got up this AM. Glad to hear the early reports that
it centered out near Joshua (national park)in a less populated area and was
not severe in terms of damage and people. I wish you all the best and hope
things settle down. Also heard that there was an AMTRAK derailment in
Barstow. That's Dr. Doobie's home turf as he mentioned in an earlier note.

well we just had a fairly decent earthquake here in socal. i live in costa
mesa and it rolled for about 20 to 30 seconds. i spoke to my station in
coltn/san bernardino and they said it was pretty hard there. one of the
emplyees who lives in victorville said it shook her house very hard. for
those of you who know the areas in socal, you know how big an area this is.
for those who don;t, that is about a 150 miles strech from end to end. more
details to follow.
