Thank You all for Your notes of concern about the earthquake !!!!!!! Yes
this IS the railroad track that I work on daily to Barstow from Needles. I was
due to work 10 trains behind Amtrak's Southwest that morning and was in My motel
room in Needles. Terie was at home in Barstow and felt the quake very strongly.
The railroad is back "up and running" but was down all day saturday. I
have been across the area twice now on a train and the track is restricted to 25
m.p.h. for a 15 mile stretch. There was some bridge damage and structure damage
in Ludlow but So. Cal was VERY lucky this time !! Take care, all and I'll talk
