I wish to thank everyone who sent a message of condolences regarding the
passing of my grandmother. While her passing was not truly unexpected (she
had Alzheimer disease and had been very, very ill for several years), it was
still a tremendous loss for me and my family.

The worst part of a disease as devastating as Alzheimers is that you lose
loved ones twice in a lifetime. The first time when they no longer know who
you are and the second time when they finally pass. The conflicting
emotions of "relief" and "grief" take their toll on emotion as well.

Thank you to everybody who sent your best wishes and support. These
messages were very warmly welcome and needed.

Thank you,

Laurin
