Regarding this phone scam......

I know for a fact that this is true.  This did not happen to a cousin of a 
friend of mine, or my neighbors aunt that works at the hospital.  This 
actually happened at the office I work in and at the office my wife worked in 
(we both work for the same company, just in different offices).  A person 
called the main number of the office to say they had to do maintenance and 
asked the switchboard operator to punch in the numbers.  We ended up with 
calls overseas and across the country being billed to our offices. 

It was not a virus, because no computers were involved, but the long distant 
calls were rather expensive.  Now, I don't know if these calls were made from 
prisons, but they were made.  

This one IS NOT an urban legend.
