Great Idea. The hard part is convincing the "Industry Experts". In some eyes The Doobs may not have pushed the envelope like Berry, Clapton, Beck, Page, The Beatles, Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, etc., but they sure as hell pushed it within themselves by composing such a WIDE cross section of music and very, very well.
For example, compare South City Midnight Lady to Road Angel and then make reference to Livin' On The Fault Line with Black Water, amoung others. I cannot think of many who have done that to the success level of The Doobies Brothers (musically speaking) and still remain a vital force out there for 30 years.
Those who make R&RHOF inductee decsions should "Open Your Eyes" (or ears). Off my soap box, now.

Every once in a while, this topic comes up, and everybody vents that the
Brothers haven't made the Hall....

board. Punch it up, and check out Musical Discussion, where you can let the
world know what you think about anything pertaining to classic rock....Like
why aren't The Doobie Brothers in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
So, why not start up a bunch of posts about the Brothers not being in the
Hall. There are a few hundred people on the list, and if everyone takes the
time to post, ya never know where it might get to......
