On September 9, 1982, the Doobie Brothers called it a career. After 12
years of dives and dance halls, then arenas and stadiums, it was time to
move on. During the 12 years spanning their career 14 different musicians
had been in the Doobies, Pat Simmons the only original Doobie still in
place.

The Farewell Concert took place at the Greek Theater in Berkley, CA (just
ask Nick, he was there). The line-up the night included:

Pat Simmons
Michael McDonald
Keith Knudsen
John McFee
Cornelius Bumpus
Willie Weeks
Chet McCracken
Bobby LaKind

There were also a number of special guests for the evening. Tommy Johnston
performed "China Grove", "Without You", with the Doobies and they were
joined on stage by former members Little John Hartman, Tiran Porter, and Big
Mike Hossack for the reprise of "Listen to the Music". Only Dave Shogren
and Jeff "Skunk" Baxter were not in attendance that evening.
