Okay, this is so cool. You know the music promotion I was telling about
happening here in Minnesota: Trippin' With the Doobies. I just got off the
phone with the DJ and I am a qualified participant. That means I've already
won two tix to the Doobies performance at Moonlight Jam in Walker, Minn.
(within spitting distance of Canada) on July 13. By the way, it's a four-day
festival and the line-up that night (with the Doobies headlining) includes
Creedence Clearwater Revisited and Styx.
And I'm also now in the running to go to all 14 Doobies shows in the Midwest
with a VW mini-bus. If I keep bucking the odds and that really happens, I
guarantee that we'l;l develop some promotion within in the fan club to take
advantage of that. Keep your fingers crossed.
They've been promoting the hell out of this. It's so neat to see the Doobies
in the limelight after all these years. One more thing, I did tell the DJ
about the fan club and the website. He's going to check it out so we might
get some additional pub in the days to come.
Now, how many days is it until July 13?
