Yeah, it was a Martin D-28 too.....I forgot who did that! I can't complain
though; like a dummy I went and played somebody's Doobies autographed guitar
and sweated on and rubbed partially off, the Big Mike signature.
Fortunately Big Mike was there to redo it with some touch up work. >>

That was my Martin Shenandoah (made in the USA I might add). I was so upset
about that but, Big Mike came to the rescue. He rubbed off the smudge and
resigned it, phew.
In fact at the convention the other day, Mike and I had talked about it. Of
course he had to give me a hard time about it...he he.

No harm done! It turned out just fine.

That makes me think of something about the people that have autographed
guitars. Be careful because Sharpie ink will rub off with sweat and hard
playing. I took my guitar to a Martin expert and he said that if he puts
another coat of varnish on my guitar it will lose it's beautiful sound. We
did a test on a tiny spot to see if it would rub off and it did. It also
depends on the finish so you might want to check with your local guitar store
and talk to an expert before you play it.

Just wanted to warn all you Doobie signed guitar owners.
