Hi all, I've been listening to the new tune "People Gotta Love Again" and thought I'd give my take on it. I tend to look closely for what catches me and I must say there are quite a few things I like about this one. The use of tremolo (vibrato) on the early strum immediately made my ears perk up. The Doob rhythm is definitely there but that little strum glued me. Talk about clean. OK, I will. Crystal clear. Good to hear. Solid backbeat, but not too much. Bless our beat masters. A full sound on the chorus. This would make a great disco song,. Just kidding. Now...the solo. John on violin is just a great decision. Haunting, like the live version of "Nobody" a few years back. It reminds me of the work of Papa John Creach many years ago with the Jefferson Airplane. Hold on, gotta start it again. OK. Soundin' good. And what is Guy doin' on keyboards, huh? Mystical. It's like a spirit breeze. It's most pronounced at the very end like it wants to take us along, but we can't go any further. Shoot. I'm assuming that Tommy wrote this. His vocals and the supporting harmonies are perfect. There is a lot to like about this song. Somewhere along the way I think the band has been influenced, touched, or something. This song seems like a collaboration. Whatever it is, I hope they keep on doing it. Get out there and stretch a little. I await the album. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
