Happy Birthday John, and thanks for bringing me over 25 years of musical joy. First experienced your awesome talents on a Tuesday night "Sounds Of The City" show at Winterland -- where for $2.50, I saw Clover (your band of course), Kingfish (with Bob Weir), and the Jerry Garcia Band. Not bad for $2.50! (Linda, I'm sure you remember this ongoing series of shows!) I subsequently became a massive Clover fan. The first mercury album -- simply titled., "Clover", is, without doubt, on my all-time favorite album list. Check that one out Doobie fans -- it came out in 1977 and it's spectactular!
